It is fiber that has under high temperature and also has chemical resistance.
Specialty paper made of PA9T fiber is used in separator paper, an important member for the secondary battery (rechargeable battery), making use of its stability under high temperature.
- Heat resistance
- It has a characteristic of high glass-transition point (*1). It is stable even under high temperature condition.
- Chemical resistance
- It has both acid and alkaline resistance. Also it is excellent in oil resistance, displaying stable performance under various environments.
※1 The temperature at which the molecules start thermal-induced oscillation. When it reaches this temperature, intermolecular connections of high molecular substances start to weaken, and in the end become vulnerable to change.
