Fiber reinforced plastic (FRP)

Plastics are used in all kinds of scenes for its features : "colorable", "high strength", "lightweight". However, depending on the application, some users may think that “If only it was a little stronger”--. That’s where paper made from KURALON come into the scene.

Description

What is a fiber reinforced plastic (FRP)?

Fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) is a composite material using fiber to reinforce plastic and increase its strength. Paper made from KURALON is used in the FRP material.

Why is paper made from KURALON used?
Affinity with rubber, cement and resin.
KURALON, in fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), is wound around the substrate by applying resin. Paper made from KURALON’s “affinity with resin” contributes greatly in making this possible.
Strong paper(Function as a binder fiber)
KURALON can make papers very firm and strong, as fibers adhere with each other so well. Features of KURALON, such as its resistance against tension and tear, contribute to providing excellent performance on surfaces that are subject to pressure.
